Two brothers, both out of hospitality. Between us we have worked the front desk, the night shift and the owner's inbox, which is why the roster is named after jobs rather than features.
Neither of us came to this from software. We came to it from the shifts.

I started on nights — Hilton first, then other high-end hotels. The 3am shift, where a guest is locked out, the lift is down and there is nobody else to ask. Night Manager is named after that job because I worked it. Now I build the roles themselves: what each one knows, when it escalates to a human, and what it is never allowed to do on its own.

I came up through hospitality management before moving into property, and ended up running large portfolios of short lets — dozens of them, one phone, every message landing on me. Front Desk exists because I was answering wifi questions at 2am and calling it a business. I build what we ship and look after the operators we ship it to.
